The Marine Environmental Data and Information Network (MEDIN) and OceanWise are delighted to announce the premiere of our online workshop: Marine Data Management, Governance and the MEDIN toolset. The course will take place over 5 days, with live lessons in the morning and independent learning in the afternoons. Places are limited so please register on OceanTeacher Global Academy as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

The aims of the meeting are to:
1. share marine data successes and
2. discuss priorities for enhancing the national framework for sharing UK marine data.
The conference will bring together representatives from environmental policy and management sectors with evidence gathering communities drawn from government agencies, academia and NGOs, and feature a range of exemplar projects and speakers drawn from around the UK.

This is an invitation to provide your details to submit an abstract if you would like to present your work for at the 2023 UK DNA Working Group Conference. We would like to receive presentations from projects at different stages of the innovation pathway from the development of new techniques and approaches to the operational use of these techniques in monitoring and assessment.
MEDIN holds free workshops periodically throughout the year to improve the uptake, knowledge and use of MEDIN Data Guidelines and the MEDIN Discovery Metadata Standard (and associated tools). Presentations from MEDIN workshops can be viewed in the archive.
